Good Afternoon Residents,
We have received reports of on-going issues with rough sleepers and begging around the Clayton area.
Today we have conducted a joint visit with partner agencies to address the issues and concerns they are causing in the area.
This ensures any potential offences are addressed while also identifying individuals who may require support.
A joint-up approach between the police, council and Anti-Social Behaviour Teams is key to managing these issues effectively. Through partnership working agencies can share information, take proportionate enforcement action where necessary and engage support services to address underlying causes. This helps reduce repeat incidents and provides a more sustainable solution.
A consistent approach based on reporting, partnership working and responsible communication will deliver the most effective outcome for community safety. To report an emergency please call 999, for a non-emergency please call 101 or utilise the online chat function on the main Greater Manchester Police Website by searching contact us, in the search bar.
